WInds of ChangeThe first Happy Quote Saturday of 2014 and I’m challenging everyone to fiercely examine what you’re doing to be happy — truly happy — in this new year.

Are you building walls or are you building windmills?  And if you don’t have the foggiest idea how to build a windmill, start your happiness journey there.  Give yourself permission to invest in you.  To take the time to learn what you need to get where you want to be.  What a year it’s going to be!

  1. I get up, get the protein shake and the pills ready, grab First Diet Coke, sit down at the computer, block the internet (a little program called Freedom) for 240 minutes, and, if no one insists on dragging me away or interrupting or talking, I am then happy for four hours in a row.

It doesn’t get much better than that, even if the first hour is spent typing things like ‘my brain isn’t on yet’ and ‘there’s something deep missing from this scene – dig some more.’

The worst day spent writing is still better than most other days.
