This week has caught up with me and collecting my thoughts on happiness into a coherent blog post may be a bit of a challenge. Strike that – there will be no coherent thoughts on happiness today, just random associations. Please join in.
Your comments are always appreciated, but never more so than when my week included more than 20 hours on Zoom and being told in an Unconscious Bias training (that I was taking…not teaching) that telling the white man who would not stop talking over a Muslim woman, that I wanted to hear her speak, not him (to which he got very offended) was an act of aggression on my part, and instead of calling him out I should have been “calling him in.” Um…nope. Why is his need to blather on unabated a higher priority than my desire to hear about the culture of someone different than me from the person who is part of that culture???
So here’s what I’m thinking:
- I need a baby panda in the worst way. Dear God, they’re cute. Quick, someone baby panda me.
- Naps are highly underrated.
- Coconut Keto Clusters, frozen organic blueberries and full-fat greek yogurt all mixed together are manna. And less than 10 grams of net carbs. Thank you, Lord!
- I want to personally kiss the writers of The IT Crowd. You have gotten me through this week.
- Whenever I feel this tired, I am very grateful that I’m not still practicing law, a time when I always felt this tired and it was for representing someone else’s interests.
- Life is so good it makes me want to cry. Or take a nap. Or hug a baby panda.
Enjoy your Friday. And the rest of the week. And the rest of the year.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay happy!
